Pebbles Project impact film wins prestigious award

In what was said to be their most competitive year to date, the 20-year impact film ‘Kindness’ highlights how one act of kindness can have a huge ripple effect.

The film shows how one person can make a difference. Sophia Warner, the Founder and CEO of the Pebbles Project, had a dream to enable all children from the farming communities in South Africa to reach their full potential. Since its inception in 2004, the Pebbles Project has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children. The charity has a profound effect on the lives of young people in the South African winelands. "Kindness" is more than a film, it’s a reflection of the heart and dedication behind the Pebbles Project's mission; to ensure every child has access to quality education programmes, health, nutrition and social work services, helping them to maximise their capabilities and reach their full potential.

The Smiley Charity Film Awards is the largest cause-based film campaign in the world and is regarded as the Oscars of charity film awards. The award ceremony took place at Indigo at London’s O2, with Hello Magazine! as the media partner and a star-studded guest list that included the likes of Una Healy, Sophie Hermann, and Julien Macdonald.

The Pebbles Project was nominated alongside 27 extraordinary international NPOs, including Habitat for Humanity Canada and Greenpeace.
