Beyond Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade Fortnight might be over but that's not a reason to stop buying Fairtrade wines.

Throughout Fairtrade Fortnight, we discovered several wines that are giving back to South African wine communities, educating children, improving conditions, and ensuring a fair wage for workers.

Beyond Fairtrade Fortnight

You can visit our Instagram page and see some examples of how the Fairtrade Premiums from the sale of Fairtrade wines have enhanced communities at Bosman and Bosman Adama.

Through the funding created by Fairtrade Premiums, and the continuous training provided by the Fairtrade Organisation, the Bosman Adama families have been able to make a significant and lasting impact on their entire farming community, giving back to the workers on the farm and their families - from the smallest baby in the crèche, to the youth, adults and pensioners.

Fairtrade is a simple way to make a difference in the lives of the people who grow the things we love. The organisation does this by making trade fair, ensuring that the workers involved in production are treated justly.

To be an accredited Fairtrade producer, farmers have to ensure their workers enjoy a certain standard of living in terms of housing, education, healthcare, working conditions etc.

During Fairtrade Fortnight we enjoyed the following wines and we highly recommend that you seek them out and support amazing communities and people at the same time.

Co-op Fairtrade Chardonnay by Bosman, £7.25 from Co-op

Co-op Fairtrade Shiraz by Bosman, £7.25 from Co-op

Taste the Difference Fairtrade Chenin Blanc 2022, currently on promotion at £6.50 (usually £8) from Sainsbury’s
